What happened to hardcore?

There seems to be a parody, which only i can see.
I remember the time when this was true, now it's being diseased by corporate views.
Your phoney bands, five minute trends try to break the rules that won't bend.
How can you mean what you say, still writing these songs everyday?
Old- skool poets once showed us the way. Then they strayed.
Tried too hard to seize the day, so they changed.
They take something and put it where it does not belong.
Enough of this shit! Let's talk the basics!
Why run away from all this that you created?
And not think for a second that you'll be exploited.
People like us, wisened to their game, take the knives from their backs and won't take the blame.
We show you dedication, but it's just not good enough.
We didn't join a cult, but know it should be tight.
You try to justify but deep down you know it's not right.
I’m not changing my life.
We showed you dedication, but it's never good enough.
I'm losing all my patience; your actions lose my trust.
That handshake is a contract of mutual consent.
We thought that you'd know better.
We all know of their intent.
